Designed for a family of five, this 3500 sq.ft. straw bale home in the Santa Cruz Mountains is centered around a courtyard that opens up to the distant view of Monterey Bay. The two-story entrance hall doubles as a gallery for the client who is a painter and art collector. The super insulated building keeps very balanced indoor temperatures all year round.
