Community Design offers a great opportunity to convey green building principles and sound environmental design to a broader public. We had been approached by the City of Berkeley to design the Shorebird Nature Center because of our early pioneering of straw bale construction.

In addition, the Presentation Center in Los Gatos selected us for their new Dining Hall and Welcoming Center in order to display a broad array of sustainable design elements, which led to one of the first LEED Gold ratings within the U.S. Green Building Council national rating system.
